The Sunshine Through The Clouds

Have you ever noticed that you are close to something amazing based on the crazy trials and storms that surround you? Sometimes while we are in the middle of the storm it is too cloudy, murky, and dark to see at all. That confusion can choke you up, blind you, and cause you to forget what the sunshine looks like. Sometimes we need to stay still, shut our mouths, close our eyes, and listen to what we already know. Is God in charge of your life? Do you know him? When you turn to him in prayer (whether in a storm or to show gratitude) do you hear, see, and KNOW that it will be ok? Sometimes looking back at the past to see how God has turned things around for us (small or large) is the best thing we can do before reaching the end of the storm, and recognizing how beautiful the sunshine is through the clouds. I hope everyone takes a moment today to think about how far you’ve come, and KNOW that no matter what you are facing….God has it under control (you have life… God gave your life today). Let HIM work his magic and be patient for a better outcome than you could’ve conjured. His ideas are far more powerful than ours. Know your worth (you are deserving of what he has to offer), but also recognize his worth! Take time today to sit still, close your eyes, and listen until it becomes clear again. There is always sunshine after the clouds depart.

I am single mother of a 15 year old special needs son. I turned away from the corporate world that was supporting us to be home more with my son and manage my own physical illnesses that crept up on us. Two years ago I decided to take up writing (which was something I loved doing as the younger me) and I just published my first book, with many more in the making. I strive to leave a legacy for my son that could assist in his unknown future once I am gone.
